Discover Tsinghua

Throughout its history Tsinghua University has nurtured and attracted large numbers of outstanding experts and scholars. The university has followed the guideline of "hiring as well as cultivating talented people" and has created opportunities to help broaden the capabilities of the young teachers. In order to have a high-level teaching staff, Tsinghua has brought in distinguished professionals from throughout the country and the world.

By the end of 2023, Tsinghua has 3,860 faculty members. Tsinghua has a Nobel laureate, as well as winners of A.M. Turing Award, Fields Medal, Wolf Prize, Crafoord Prize and the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award. The university also has 56 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and 36 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
